Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has pleaded with the fans as they will not be in the Stadium to cheer Super Eagles team against the Leone stars due to the ongoing pandemic.
Musa speaking with journalist when he visited the training camp of the flying Eagles team at the FIFA goal project inside the Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja on Monday.
The former Al Nassr forward said the fans should have patient and watch the match on TV and also be supportive of the team as they continue to obey the federal government’s directive in preventing the spread of covid 19 in the country.
“It’s because of the pandemic and there is nothing we can do so, they just have to be patient watch the game in Tv and that’s what they can do.”
“I’m not sure playing without the fans can affect us because we the players are used to playing without it right from our base in the club sides but coming down to our home town without the fans, we can’t do nothing now to stop it so, we just have to put our heads down and finish the game in the 95 minutes ”.
“These is my third time playing in Benin but for others these is their first time but i don’t think it will affects anything because we are all Nigerians and needs to be playing our matches in different centers so that most of the people will feel the Super Eagles team.” Musa stated.
