Former Napoli coach, Andrea Agostinelli has insisted the Partenopei made a very good signing in Victor Osimhen, while also looking forward to his impact in the Italian league.
Osimhen completed a €70m transfer to the San Paolo outfit from French club OSC Lille last month.
The move to Italy comes on the back of his impressive debut campaign for the Les Dogues where he scored 18 goals in 38 games to emerge the Club’s player of the season.
Osimhen is expected to lead the line for the Gennaro Gattuso tutored side next season as they look to improve on their seventh-place finish from the last term.
Agostinelli said the Super Eagles forward still has room for improvement but will come good for the San Paolo Stadium outfit.
“Victor Osimhen? I have seen him play several times and therefore I believe I have the right competence to Judge him. For me Napoli made a very good sign,” he told Areanapoli.it.
“ The Nigerian is very strong and still has considerable room for improvement. Then of course we will have to see his impact in the Italian league.”
