1995 Champions League winner Finidi George has disclosed that he could be tempted to manage in the Nigerian professional football league at some point in his coaching career.
Finidi played for Sharks ( now Rivers United) and Calabar Rovers before joining Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam where he enjoyed the most part of his playing career.
Since retiring from the game in 2002, Finidi has obtained his badges and ready prove his mettle in management.
However, the 49-year-old made it clear he’s only interested in teams who are ready to meet his demands.
“It is not that we are not willing to coach any team in Nigeria but for me, if I have to coach, there must be guarantees,” Finidi George said.
“I have to get a guarantee that salaries will be paid and that players will be taken care of. I wouldn’t want problems in the area of payment of salaries and traveling conditions,” Finidi told NigerianFootballer.com.
Finidi who is regarded as the greatest Nigerian right-winger ever confirmed he applied for one of the vacant national team jobs.
After making his debut for Nigeria in 1991, the former Real Betis midfielder made 66 appearances for the Super Eagles and scored 6 goals.
He was part of the squad that won the 1994 African Cup of Nations in Tunisia and featured in two FIFA World Cup.
