Henry Onyekuru comfirms Galatasaray exit

Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru has confirmed his exit from the Turkish side Galatasaray after sending emotional goodbye messages to the fans of the club.

Onyekuru returned to his parent club Monaco after they failed to extend his stay at the Turkish giants.

 

The forward joined the club on an initial six-month deal back in January and Turkish tabloid Fanatik, revealed Galatasaray showed interest in signing the player on a permanent deal, but they were turned down by the French club.

 

The player is now on his back to his club after the new coach, Robert Moreno, showed interest in keeping the Nigerian International at Stade Louis II.

 

However, the 23-year-old winger has penned emotional messages to the club on his social media handle.

 

“I can’t thank @GalatasaraySK enough for the love during my second spell at the club. You are forever in my heart until we meet again …Cimbom! ” he posted.

 

Onyekuru scored 1 goal and made 3 assists in 12 appearances for Galatasaray in the 2019-2020 season, but helped the won the league and cup last season.
