Nigeria’s rising star Adamu hits brace against Sunday Faleye’s Innsbruck

Austrian born Nigerian youngster Chukwubuike Adamu was on top of his game as Liefering thrashed Wacker Innsbruck 4-1 away from home in the Austrian Erste Liga.

The highly-rated 19-year-old bagged a brace to help his team to a memorable win on Wednesday.

 

He scores the goal from the spot in the 39th minute and added the second with a 57th-minute strike.

 

Chukwubuike, who also scored thrice in five UEFA Youth League games before Liefering were eliminated now has 12 goals in 17 league matches this season.

 

Chukwubuike has placed three games for Austria at the U19 level and has scored three goals in return as well.

 

The youngster is still eligible to play for his country of birth despite representing Austria at the youth level.

 

Meanwhile, Sunday Faleye was also in action for Wacker Innsbruck in the game.

 

The former Shooting Stars of Ibadan player played for 73 minutes in the game, but could not add to his tally.

 

Faleye was yellow-carded in the 15th minute and couldn’t add to the three goals and three assists he has this season.

 

The former CHAN Eagles winger had earlier scored the winner when his side beat AK Grazer 1-0 over the weekend.
