Super Eagles defender Kingsley Ehizibue logged 90 minutes for FC Koln who lost 3-1 against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday.
Ehizibue started the game from his favorite right-back position but could do little stop Leon Bailey Bayer Leverkusen rampaging attack led cutting through Koln backline.
Lars Bender gave Leverkusen a dream start at the BayArena when he scored inside the opening 7 minutes before the rave of the moment Kai Havert doubled the lead six minutes to the end of the first 45 minutes.
Koln reduced the deficit after Sebastiaan Bornauw made it 2-1 with half-hour to play at the BayArena.
Koln raised their game and continued to search for the equaliser, but were made to pay for misses in quick succession as Moussa Diaby netted Leverkusen’s third on the night.
Meanwhile, in another venue, Ademola Lookman saw action for 22 minutes as RB Leipzig threw away two goals against Fortuna Düsseldorf at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig.
Looman replaced Chelsea bound Timo Werner in the 76th but failed to find the back of the net.
It was Fortuna Düsseldorf who scored twice late in the game to earn a draw.
