Brown Ideye was on the score sheet for his Club Ariz Thessaloniki in their Greek Super six league encounter with Olympiacos on Sunday.
The former West Bromwich Albion forward scored his team’s only goal of the game, but it was not enough to help them avoid a defeat in the hand of ruthless Olympiacos.
Ariz Thessaloniki started the game on the back foot, as they fell conceded two goals inside the opening 30 minutes.
Mady Camara made it 1 – 0 for the home side in 27th minutes and doubled his team’s advantage a minute later.
Giorgos Masour put the game beyond the Ideye and his mates with the third goal in the 39th minute of the encounter.
Ideye however made it 3 – 1 four minutes after an hour mark, Kostas Fortounis missed the opportunity to restored Olympiacos three goals lead when he missed a 90th-minute penalty.
Ideye has now scored eight goals in all competitions for the club this season.
