The young forward who is still eligible to play for Nigeria has not been involved since the Bundesliga restart four weeks ago, and he was overlooked once more as the team set up a final meeting with Bayer Leverkusen.
Croatia winger Ivan Perisic put Bayern Munich ahead with a fine header in 14th minutes, but Eintracht Frankfurt, the 2018 winners, leveled the scores nine minutes after an hour mark.
Polish striker Robert Lewandowski scored the winner with his 45th goal in only 39 games for Bayern this season.
The final will hold in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium on 4 July, with Leverkusen beating fourth-tier Saarbrucken 3-0 in the other semi-final.
