Manchester United have announced that agreements have been reached with Shanghai Greenland Shenhua to allow Odion Ighalo to remain in England.
Ighalo’s joined United back in January on a six months loan deal, that expired on Sunday, 31 May, but Manchester has now raced against time to convince his parent club to allow him to stay until January 2021.
Manchester United has now confirmed the agreement on their official website on Monday, that the former Watford man will be staying at the club to continue his impressive adventure.
The news is a big boost for United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has not hidden his intentions to keep the striker for the premier league restart.
The Premier League’s proposed return date is 17 June and the Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals have been lined up for the weekend of 27 and 28 June.
