Greek Super league resumption date excites Ideye

Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye says he is excited about the prospect of returning to competitive football after two months.

The Greek Superleague is set to restart after eight weeks after it was initially suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic and teams have since returned to training in order to conclude the season.

Ideye who is back in training with the rest of the squad at their Dasygeneio Sports Center said he’s elated to back and anxiously waiting to start kicking the round leather game again.

“We already started group training in full, as you know the season restarts with the playoffs on June 6,” Ideye told Ralph Chidozie George.

“It feels good to start playing again after two months of no football, it’s been so boring and I can’t wait for the real action to get on the way.”

“I can’t wait to return doing what I know how to do best.”

Meanwhile, the league will be concluded in play-offs format and only six teams, namely Olympiacos, PAOK, AEK Athens, Panathinaikos, OFI Crete, and Ideye’s Aris Saloniki qualified.

Ideye has scored 9 goals in all competitions for Ariz Thessaloniki and he looks forward to adding to the above tally during the playoffs.
