Former Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia has advised former Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo to remain with English Premier League side Manchester United and shun a return to China.
Ighalo who is currently on loan at Manchester United has been linked with Shanghai Shenhua £400,000-a-week new contract offer which will tie him to the club until 2024.
Siasia has now joined the debate and he opined that the former Watford striker should do all he can to remain with United.
“Chinese league is like Nigeria league they don’t pay on time. I have two friends playing there right now. I know some Nigerians players too that are complaining about payments. Manchester United can’t keep him anyway because he is too expensive,” the former Nigeria striker stated on T&T.
Meanwhile, Ighalo’s six month deal with the Red Devil is set to expire in the coming days and managed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that he club is interested in keeping the player for the restart of the Premier league.
Ighalo joined his boyhood club back in January and has scored four goals in his eight appearances for the team before the campaign was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
