Nesiama calls for athletes centered approach to Nigeria Athletics

Former Technical Director of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria AFN Omatseye Nesiama has called on an Athletes centered approach in order to revive the dwindling fortune of Athletics in Nigeria without which Athletics may have to continue to struggle in Nigeria.

Nesiama speaking in a chat with www.brila.net urged Athletics stakeholders to ensure that their approach is on athletes and athletes development without which there won’t be any basis to have a Federation, have coaches or programs which is the key ingredients before any Athletics venture.
“Mostly what we have now are people who are still thinking more of themselves than the system as a whole. We must be athletes centered because without the athletes, there is no athletics. So if we think about the athletes more, then we will be able to get to the promised land.
