Sunshine stars defender Alimi Jamiu has stated that the Akure based side still retains the club’s hopes of picking a continental ticket at the end of the season despite the threat and unexpected occurrence of the current Covid-19 pandemic.
Alimi speaking in a chat with brila.net reckons that the times are hard and worrisome but that the 9th placed NPFL side will still ensure they do not derail from the club’s initial objective of picking a continental ticket at the end of the season hoping that league football resume.
“We know it’s not so easy and it’s a very important time for us and we need to try our possible best and make sure it happens.
“Let’s see how it goes when we resume. We will try our possible best to make sure we make it to our target which is to get a continental ticket upon resumption.”
