Mutiu Adepoju backs Osimhen for Premier League or Serie A move

Ex International and La Liga Ambassador Mutiu Adepoju has backed Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen to make either a premier league or Italian Serie A move in the summer.

Osimhen is the hottest Nigerian forward in Europe this season and has been linked with a potential move to the record English champions next summer.

The Nigerian forward is only in his first season with the Christopher Galtier’s tutored Lille but has impressed the whole of Europe after scoring 19 goals in 34 appearances for the club.

Osimhen has also scored four goals for the Super Eagles in eight appearances under Gernot Rohr, including three at the ongoing 2021 African cup of Nations qualifier.

Its no longer news that Manchester United in England, Napoli, and AC Milan in Italy are justling for the signature of the young sensational striker who had scored more than 18 goals in all competition for Lille Metropole in the current season.

Speaking with brila.net, Mutiu emphasized that, both choices of leagues are very good and that African players thrive well in there and if he chooses any of the two leagues he is going to do well, but the options are best known for him to make.

“Well it’s a good thing that they are looking for him, and they have seen it that he’s good for them and that’s why the rush is up like this.

Adepoju played most of his career in Spain, amassing La Liga totals of 175 games and 22 goals over the course of seven seasons and mainly representing Racing de Santander and Real Sociedad.
