A bizarre clip of a nun and policeman playing keepy uppys has emerged on social media.
The unusual sight caught on camera in Limerick, Munster, last week shows the Sister in her white silks kicking the football back and forth with the officer in uniform.
Now the two have gone viral, with the video having received almost 60,000 views.
Garda O’Connell and the nun from the Dominican Sisters were at the Our Lady of Limerick Triduum festival when they challenged each other to the duel.
At the start of the short clip the officer is seen skillfully controlling the ball with his knees and feet, managing five keepy-ups before chipping the ball back to the Sister.
The nun then shows off her own talents using both feet – giving her the slight edge over the officer.
At one point she even manages to keep the ball in the air with her shoulder.
Eventually after a couple of back and forth passes the nun misses her pass to the officer and has to chase after the ball down the street.
Passers-by are seen walking past in the background with only one woman stopping to film the unexpected match.
Captioning the footage, the Henry St Community Policing Unit wrote: ‘Well what can we say, this definitely isn’t something you see everyday.
‘We’re not sure who won this time, a rematch will have to be scheduled.’
Currently the footage has been shared by almost 700 Facebook users and received more than 1500 likes.
