Lobi Stars of Makurdi defensive midfielder Tamara Ezekiel says it’s not easy for the players to cope without football.
The young midfielder told brila.net that he can’t wait for league matches to return, but admit the environment must be safe for both the fans and the players.
Nigerian league management body, LMC decided to suspend the season indefinitely following the outbreak od the coronavirus pandemic which has also affected many sports events around the globe.
While some people have suggested that the season should be scrapped, Ezekiel think otherwise and urged the League Management Company to find solutions quickly.
“I miss playing football, it’s our job and it’s quite unfortunate that we are in this current situation.” He told brila.net.
It’s not a good decision to call off the season, we still have plenty matches left, but I just hope the LMC and NFF can find better solutions quickly”. He concluded.
