Rangers International of Enugu forward, Kelvin Itoya has hailed late teammate Ifeanyi George as one of the best players in the team.
Itoya said in an exclusive interview with www.brila.net the rest of the squad are still struggling to deal with the loss of the 26-year-old striker.
Ifeanyi George was killed in a ghastly motor accident that occurred on Sunday while the player was on his way to Lagos from Enugu.
The player died along with another Rangers feeder team player who were also in the car.
Itoya went on to described the death of Ifeayin George as a big loss to the Club and to Nigeria professional football league at large.
He added that the player left a big vacuum that can’t be filled by anyone.
“I can’t express how am feeling right now, we are all shocked when we heard the news”.
Ifeanyi is our only striker, he’s so reliable he’s a warrior, and outside the pitch, he’s a wonderful and a jovial person.
“We are definitely going to miss him, the entire NPFL family will miss him too,” Itoya told brila.net.
During his time, Ifeayin George played for Enyimba International of Aba and won the Nigerian professional football league title with the Aba giants.
He also won the Aiteo Cup with his current club Rangers international back in 2018.
