Rivers Hoopers intensify BAL preparation as team get set to hit Lagos – Odaudu

Coach of Nigeria Premier basketball league champion Rivers Hoopers of Porthacourt Ogoh Odaudu has stated that the team have started preparation ahead of next month’s commencement of the inaugural NBA Basketball Africa League.

He also confirmed that the team intends to move to Lagos early next month hoping to play a couple of friendly games to get them in shape for the continental challenge.
Odaudu speaking in a chat with brila.net said the decision to move to Lagos early is to be able to have the team play test games before the start of the Africa league so as to be able to make up for been match rusty compared to their opponents who has league games already under their belt.
“We’ve been working hard practising trying to see what and what we can put in place.
“We are planning to come to Lagos sometimes early next month so at least we will get a couple of friendly games while we are there because practice alone will not help us playing against teams that are already playing their leagues in their various countries already so it’s going to be difficult but we are hoping we are going to do the best that we can.”
