National boxing coach Mohammed Umar has called on the Nigeria Boxing Federation to expedite action on the commencement of camping for boxers who will be representing Nigeria at the qualifiers in Senegal next month.
Umar speaking in a chat with brila.net said it is expedient the boxers get to camping early to be monitored collectively than the individual sessions they have been using to train all along.
“With all sincerity the boxers that will be representing us for the qualifiers in Senegal they are training in their individual camps for now.
“Yes we learnt that names have been drawn but they are yet to be called to the national camp to prepare them for the qualifiers. It is not a good thing for the Nigerian team.”
