Gernot Rohr is tactfully covering up the weakness of his team, shielding the young and inexperienced players from the battering of top and tougher teams, former NFF Technical Committee chairman Taiwo Ogunjobi has suggested.
Nigeria plays Corsica and Togo in Tier 3 friendlies on May 26 and June 1 respectively but Ogunjobi argues that the “small opponents” would be a good sport for the fledgling team rather than tougher teams.
He insists that the players currently in the Eagles camp need game experience and should find the up coming games as beneficial.
