Assistant coach of Nigeria’s women national basketball team Peter Ahmedu has stated that the coaching crew of the D’Tigress have been up and doing monitoring and scouting opposition teams ahead of next year’s Olympic qualifying tournament slated for 6th of February 2020 in Belgrade, Serbia.
Ahmedu speaking in a chat with brila.net said with 14 provisional players called up already, the coaches have also been putting their eyes on the players to ascertain their readiness and also the teams to face.
Nigeria is housed alongside world champions USA, host Serbia and African rival Mozambique in the same OQT group.
“In terms of scouting report we have gone so deep scouting all our opponents in our group we have been doing this. And in terms of our players we have also been putting our eyes on them checking and monitoring them in their clubs how fit they are, and how ready they will be in the next few weeks.”
