FIBA WOQT D’Tigress Invitation is what I’ve Worked for all Year – Murjanatu

2019 is the year when it all fell into place for Musa Murjanatu, she was voted undisputed MVP of the League and has also earned a debut invite to the national team.

Murjanatu was named in the 14-player roster announced by the NBBF for the 2020 FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

The 22 year-old told www.brila.net “it has been a life time dream of mine to play for the national team.”

Head Coach Hughley Otis Jr. named the Air Warriors Forward; the first local based player to make the roster since the FIBA World Cup in Spain.

Murjanatu described the feeling when she got the call up.

“I felt like shouting, I was very happy; that was my prayer and struggle, to be there one day.”

The D’Tigress Head Coach also named some regulars including Kalu Ezinne, Akhator Evelyn and Elonu Adaora.

That field is the best the team has presented since 2018 and breaking into it will be tough Murjanatu admits.

“I’ll do my best, do what I know I can do best. Though there are a lot of good players.”
