Nigeria international, Victor Osimhen says he’s forever grateful to former club, Sporting Charleroi for the role they played in reviving his career.

Charleroi’s officials were at the Stade Mauroy on Wednesday to watch the 20 -year- old in the UEFA Champions league game against Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam.

 

The Belgian side officials were led by Mehdi Bayat and excited Osimhen was surprised by thier visit.

 

“If I’m here today, it’s thanks to you all,” said Victor Osimhen. “Charleroi will always be the club of my heart and I hope that I can finish my career there,” said Osimhen.

 

“I can not thank you enough, I remember the 10 minutes of conversation in your office, you really changed my life forever, you all made my career amazing.”

 

Charleroi signed Osimhen on loan from VFL Woflsburg where he struggled the make impact after his heroic display in the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2015.

 

The lad later rediscovered his form with Charleroi and caught the attention of the world , before Lille splashed the cash on him last summer.
