Following his match winning performance for the defending league Champions Enyimba of Aba in their matchday five encounter with Adamawa United on Sunday, striker Victor Mbaoma has now set his sight on further goals.
The on loan striker from Remo Stars was two first half goals to help the Usman Abdallah’s men to another important three points at home against the stubborn northern side.
The goals are Mbaoma’s first since he scored in the CAF Confederations Cup against TS Galaxy of South Africa and the forward said he’s happy to end the drought.
“I feel very happy, I feel very very glad to score twice. Although I would have been happier if I made it a hattrick but I will embrace this too,” Mbaoma told media.
A return of three goals in three starts at home (in all competitions) is a decent way to start his Enyimba career but Mbaoma is hoping more will come.
“It has been very good for me so far here in Aba”.
“I hope I will still do more and I pray God will give me that grace to score more. I do have targets for the season but it is right inside my heart, I don’t want to reveal it yet,” he added.
Mbaoma has now scored three goals for the People’s Elephants in all competition this season.
