Injured Nigerian Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has may be out of action, but he has been busy on social media where he eventually incurred the wrath of Deportivo La Coruna fans for a scathing assessment of the team.
Uzoho, who is on loan from Deportivo at Cyrus side AC Omonia, lashed at the Spanish side’s current position in the Segunda División.
With the team rock bottom in the standings, Uzoho didn’t spare his former teammates, “Omg fabril of last two season can do better than this…mollejo who seem to be the best player in this team, might not spot in Fabril,” he tweeted.
Unfortunately for the Super Eagles goalie, his 280 characters license rubbed off on fans of the club wrongly and he was forced to apologize – after he deleted the initial tweet.
Well sorry guys i didn’t mean to offend anyone but i love this club much as anyone else does,so it hurts me seeing them in this position
I am truly sorry mollejo and everyone i hurt with my words,I was really wrong to say something like that, it wasn’t called for and not the moment. I’m part of this team and club no matter where I’m and in the same situation.i hope you’ll accept my apologies.thank you
