Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr is expected to return to the country on Saturday from Dream Team VII camp in Egypt.
The former Gabonese Coach would reportedly arrive Nigeria in order to kick start the team’s preparations for the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying ties against Benin and Lesotho
Rohr is currently in Cairo, Egypt where he is helping the Olympic Eagles technical crew with some lessons ahead of the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations which will kick off on Saturday.
Rohr is expected to aside the rumors surrounding his future with the Nigeria Football Federation when he returns to the Country, because the Eagles can’t afford a slow start in the AFCON qualifiers.
Super Eagles’ camp will open officially on Sunday with all the 23 invited players expected to arrive by Monday.
Meanwhile, the Squirrels of Benin are expected to arrived the country next week for Wednesday’s crunch tie at the Akwa Ibom International, Uyo.
Super Eagles will visit Lesotho four days later for their matchday-two clash against the Crocodiles of Lesotho.
