Adamawa United chief coach, Jacob Vandi has predicted that his team despite being a newly promoted side in the Nigeria Professional Football League will work as a team and give a good account of themselves.
In a chat with brila.net Vandi believes sticking with the winning team that secured promotion from the NNL to NPFL will be a positive boost for them in the 2019 campaign.
Jacob Vandi who won the 2019 NWFL Coach of the year award as Adamawa Queens Coach, after leading them to the NWFL Super 4 finishing fourth place following their qualification from the abridged league has praised the development of Women’s football in Nigeria.
However, The former player while expressing his regrets leaving the Women’s league believes “As coaches we have to study hard, learn new and improved ways to do things and impact into female players so that we can preserve our top spot as the best women’s football team in Africa because our neighboring African countries are doing a lot to catch up with Nigeria.”
Adamawa United were beaten 1-0 by FC IfeanyiUbah in MatchDay 1 and will look to recover against Enugu Rangers in Matchday 2.
