Coach of Nigeria’s Beach soccer national team Audu Adamu ‘Ejo’ has stated that the 2019 Copa Lagos which starts today will help assess the readiness of Nigeria’s Sand Eagles for the Beach soccer world cup which starts in exactly three weeks time in Paraguay.
Adamu speaking in a chat with brila.net said the team will play the Copa Lagos like the Beach soccer world cup itself and will use the opportunity of playing big teams to gauge the strength of the team.
“We are going to play the Copa Lagos like the world cup because really we have to start from somewhere if you want to win the cup because you have to play the big teams before you get to the final.
Senegal is the Africa champion, Brazil have won the world cup before and they have been playing preparing for the world cup too. Really this Cops Lagos is to prepare the boys for the world cup.”
