Super sand Eagles player Emeka Ogbonna has stated that the fast approaching Copa games in Lagos will provide strong test for Nigeria’s Beach soccer national team as the team intensify preparation for the world cup next month in Paraguay.
Ogbonna speaking in a chat with brila.net said the team has been at full strength camping for the last one week and believes the games in front of Nigeria even after the Copa will ensure the team will be very ready for the Beach soccer world cup.
“It’s a good thing to be in camp, secondly we’ve been in camp for a week preparing for Copa Lagos after which we hit the venue of the world cup.
The competition this weekend is like a training road before the world cup itself. Firstly we will play England at the Copa Lagos, after which we ply Senegal our rival and Brazil. I think these games will be good test for us coupled with the games we will play in Paraguay before the world cup proper.”
