Chukwueze joins Sancho, Guendouzi on Kopa Trophy shortlist

Nigeria’s Villarreal winger Samuel has been nominated for this year’s Kopa Trophy award alongside other top European youngsters.

 

The Kopa Trophy, which is awarded to the best performing player under the age of 21 was inaugurated last year.

 

Chukwueze has been revelation for Club and Country since last year, the FIFA U-17 world cup winner helped the Yellow submarine to avoid relegation last season, before he was awarded Club’s revelation of the year award.

 

He was also instrumental in Nigeria’s Bronze winning side at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt and went on to win Nigeria’s young player of the year.

 

 

Last year’s Kopa Tropghy was won by Paris Saint-Germain’s Mbappe, who is nominated for the Ballon d’Or this year.
