Assistant coach of Nigeria’s U17 national team Nduka Ugbade has stated that there is a lot of work to be done to sort out qualification from her world cup group ahead of this weekend’s commencement date for the FIFA U17 world cup in Brazil.
Ugbade speaking in a chat with brila.net ahead of Nigeria’s opener this weekend where the Eaglets face Hungary since meeting in the competition’s inaugural edition in 1985 said the work before the team is a big one.
“As the most successful team in the U17 world cup from the past and to this present, it’s so funny that now we are meeting Hungary again since 1985 that we met them in the quarter finals.
“And you know Ecuador as well, we are not going to say they are an easy country to deal with and football is on the rise in Australia as well. So we have a very big work to do to sort these teams.”
