Nigerian forward Brown Ideye was in action for his Greek side Aris Thessaloniki in their victory over Xhanti FC on Sunday.
Ideye who has not featured for the Super Eagles since 2018 World Cup qualifiers 2-1 win over Zambia in Ndola back in 2017, was on for the Michael Oenning’s side from start to finish.
Portuguese midfielder Bruno Alexandre Vilela Gama scored the only goal of the game in the third minutes from the penalty spot to hand the visitors all three points.
Ideye was guilty of missing two clear chances to double his side’s lead , but he was also the chief tormentor for the visitors .
The win put Aris Thessaloniki in 7th position on the log with 8 points from 7 games.
Xhanti FC however remains 3rd with 15 points from same number of matches.
