Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye says Brazilian legendary goalkeeper Nelson Dida had a lot of impact on his career.
Okoye finally made his debut for Nigeria against Brazil last Sunday in Singapore, after he was an unused substitute in the team’s 2-2 draw with Ukraine back in September.
While reflecting on coming up against Brazil, the 20-year-old said it’s like dream to face most of the players he watches on television.
He added that former AC Milan keeper Dida was his boyhood hero.
Okoye said: “I grew up watching Dida, he is a legend in Brazil and AC Milan and I felt great.”
“I talked to Ederson and he is also one of my favourite goalkeepers. It’s crazy being on the same pitch with a goalkeeper you watch his videos on YouTube.” He said.
