Enugu Rangers coach Benedict Ugwu says his side has what it takes to go far in this season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
The Flying Antelopes conquered Gabonese side AS Pelican to set up an interesting clash with ASC Kara, the reigning Togolese League champions in the next round of the Confederations Cup.
Ugwu believed his side are favorites going into the clash , but admitted their opponents deserved to be respected.
“I agree perfectly that there is no small team any longer in African football hence, we respect our opponent as champions of the Togo league but we have what it takes to overcome them and cruise into the group stage of the competition.”
“Surely, it would be a tough encounter but we shall be in the group stage by God’s grace.”
Rangers will travel to Lome to face ASC Kara at Stade de Kegue, on October 27, before hosting their opponents in return leg a week later at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
