World Boxing Council Ambassador, Dr. Larry Izamoje has backed 29-year-old boxer Errol Spence for speedy recovery after surviving a horror Ferrari crash without a single broken bone on Wednesday night in Dallas.
The reigning IBF and WBC welterweight champion was thrown from his Ferrari after driving at high speed in Dallas on Thursday morning but has miraculously escaped without suffering serious injury.
29-year-old Spence was the only person in the car and was not wearing a seatbelt.
Speaking to brila.net’s Babafemi Raji, Dr. Larry Izamoje who is a WBC ambassador noted that ‘at every new level, there is a devil’ and Errol Spence should have known this’.
“Errol Spence is 29-year-old, I was opportuned to have a picture with him a few years ago in Las Vegas,’
“He is being touted to end his career undefeated, and if it ends this way, that means, Errol Spence defeated Errol Spence. He said.
“For Someone who has just been unified, worth around $7m with a lot of potentials, we hope he come out of this fine.
The veteran broadcaster also prayed for his speedy recovery as he confirmed that Errol Spence’s parents are now by his bedside in the hospital where he is recovering.
Meanwhile, a statement released by Spence promoters, Premier Boxing Champions confirmed the boxer is now listed a stable condition.
“Spence is awake and responding and his condition is listed as stable,” PBC said. “He did not sustain any broken bones or fractures, but has some facial lacerations. He is expected to make a full recovery.
