Osimhen dubbed “Prince of the Stade Pierre-Mauroy” after scoring 7th Home League Goal

Victor Osimhen scored his 7th league goal of the season on Sunday as he helped his Lille side battle back from the cups of defeat against Nimes.

Osimhen netted a late equalizer as Lille maintained their unbeaten home record this season in the League.

Making his 9th league appearance for Les Dogues.

The hosts had taken the lead through Loic Remy (12′) – Osimhen got a booking in the heat of the game too.

However, Nimes struck back, leveling in additional time of the first half, from the penalty spot.

On the 71st minutes, Nimes got a second and were cruising to a victory, but the Young Nigerian forward had something to say about it.

Eight minutes later he was celebrating the goal that earned his side a point and keeps them withing touching distance of the top four.

His goal came from a goal mouth scramble after the Nimes goalie produced a save to deny Remy.

The Nigerian pivoted as he struck a low shot inside the 5 yard area.

Lille are now five games without a loss in the league; bouncing back from the 2-1 defeat in the Champions League against Chelsea.
