Saka better than Pepe, says Arsenal legend Keown

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has heaped praises on Bukayo Saka, following his performance for the Gunners in recent weeks.

The premier league winner said the youngster has performed more that the Club’s record signing Nicolas Pepe who arrived the club from Lille with £72million price tag.

Speaking about Saka’s recent performance with the senior team, Keown made reference his impressive performance against Eintracht Frankfurt, where he scored one and assisted two and believed he was better than Pepe on that night.

“They toil away, trying to get young players in and they’ve found one in Saka,” Keown said.

“You think of the way Pepe is playing at the minute, they paid £72million for him and this kid looked better than him that night”

“When Saka gets the ball [for the second goal], it shows composure, he’s passing it into the goal, it’s a beautiful finish. To think he’s 18 years of age.”

Saka has played eight games Unai Emery’s men, scoring once and assisted three since making his debut for the Club last season.
