Former Super Eagles forward Raphael Chukwu-Ndukwe has urged more Nigerian players to aim high and also desire to play among the crème de La crème of European top clubs football as Nigerian players continue to gain more prominence in Europe’s premier club competition.
Chukwu-Ndukwe speaking at the back of Osihmen’s debut Uefa champions league goal against Chelsea said in a chat with www.brila.net that more and more Nigerian players continue to have more game time and play key roles for their clubs stating that other Nigerian players should aspire to play for bigger more ambitious clubs too.
“It’s very good for Nigeria especially our players needs to be playing in bigger club and that’s why they are scoring in big competitions. If you’re playing in Watford, you are not going to score in champions league. It’s very good that it is happening now, all of them are scoring and I’m happy the coach is given them opportunity to come and show what they can do for the national team.”
