National team player Sunusi Ibrahim has stated that the Nigeria U23 national team will work hard to scale through the group stage hurdle after been drawn alongside West African rival Côte d’ Ivoire, South Africa and Zambia in group B of the 2019 AFCON U23 championship next month in Egypt.
Ibrahim speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the group is tough considering the caliber of countries pitched together but that the U23 national team will work hard and pray hard to progress beyond the group stage of the competition.
“For me the group is very tough and by God grace we are going to be at the top of the group. We are going to work hard to be the first on the group, we will work hard and pray hard so that God will see us through.”
