Nigeria’s Devine Oduduru failed to live up to expectations at the ongoing IAAF World Championship in Doha, as he finished 8th in his 200m men’s semi-final race on Monday.
Oduduru who lined up in lane two of heat three clocked a return time of 20.84secs in the men’s 200m semifinal to miss out in the final.
The Nigerian qualified to the semifinal as one of the fastest losers in the qualifying races but failed to his performance this season.
Canada’s 100m bronze medalist Andre De Grasse won the race at 20.08secs while Trinidad & Tobago’s Kyle Greaux came second as both athletes booked their place in the final.
Briton’s Zharnel Hughes came third, in 20.30, but wasn’t enough to guaranteed him a place in the final.
