Home based players good enough for the Eagles squad – Friday Elahor

Nigeria’s Ex- International Friday Elahor has called on the handlers of the home-based Eagles team to work harder on the players heading into the 2019 WAFU cup of nations which begins on Sunday.

The former Super Eagles midfielder told Brila.net he was surprised by the 1st leg result of the 2020 CHAN qualifiers game against Togo, however, he remains optimistic that the players can turn the result around.

“The coaches need to be focused and work hard to get the best out of these players, people are saying the home-based players can’t make the national team but I disagree we still have good players even though the league is not living up to the expectation we still have good players.”

Nigeria begins her 2019 WAFU campaign against Togo on 29th September 2019.
