Super Eagles center half has described his decision to play on loan at CD Leganes last season as “a risk”.
Omeruo finally quit Chelsea after seven seasons on the fringes of the first team this summer, returning to La Liga with the Madrid club.
Last season, the Center half played 28 league games for Leganes and impressed so much so they club approached Chelsea to have him on a permanent.
But it was a risk to head to Spain in the first place the defender said on Brila FM.
‘I took a risk to go to Spain. It was an environment like I have never experienced, but it turned out well,’ Omeruo admits.
