She had previously played in the Australian W-League with Canberra United FC, where she made 10 league appearances last season.
The AC Milan Femminile was established in 2018 by acquiring the Serie A licence of Brescia Calcio Femminile. The team finished third in its debut season.
News of the Refiloe’s transfer to the Italian club was greeted with excitement by her over 16 thousand fans on twitter.
Refiloe Jane struggled to even collect donation money for a flight ticket to Australia for a week-long trial.
During the trial, she survived on next to nothing eating noodles on most days.
Today, she’s signed with Italian giants, AC Milan!

Again, this is AMAZING news! This is the importance of bringing more attention to the women’s game, especially for “smaller” nations. Showcases the talent we have, creates more opportunities, improves quality of our game 🙌🏾🙌🏾 #RefiloeJane #ACMilan https://t.co/ATPvbK2yhW
