Ukraine National team gather in Kyiv ahead Nigeria friendly

Ahead of its first ever friendly game against Nigeria, The Ukraine national team had its first training session at the Olympic NSC, which was open to the fans and media.

National team head coach, Andriy Shevchenko has called on his players to focus on the forthcoming matches.

 

while speaking to representatives of the media before the start of training, he said “I always ask the guys who come to the national team to leave the club problems aside. An important selection game and friendly match awaits us, and I always equate them to official ones as we will play against a worthy contender.”

 

The team is camped at their capital residence- the Hilton Hotel, Kyiv, a total of 23 players participated in a lightweight format training. Only absentee been Shakhtar Donetsk new signing, Yevhen Konoplyanka who had to deal with transfer issues.

 

24 players were called up for the Euro 2020 qualifying match with Lithuania on 9th, September 2019, and the friendly game with Nigeria on 10th, September 2019.
