Nigeria-born English forward Tammy Abraham has been overlooked by England coach Gareth Southgate ahead of their upcoming UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers against Kosovo.
The 21-year-old is still eligible to represent Nigeria Super Eagles, in spite of playing for the Three Lions against Germany and Brazil in friendly outings.
Abraham has expressed his interest in represented Nigeria, but the striker is keeping his option open and Southgate has assured that the striker of a place in the team later in future.
“Tammy is one of a number of players who have either started the season well or we know well from our junior teams. This squad can look different over the next months,” Southgate said.
Abraham has excel in his loan spell at Bristol City, Swansea City, and Aston Villa, and is gradually establishing himself at Chelsea.
