Iwobi Scores Maiden Goal For Everton

Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi got his maiden goal for his new Club Everton Football Club in their win over Lincoln City in Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

After disappointing 2-0 league defeat at Villa Park last Friday, Everton boss Marco Silva handed out several starting debuts, as Fabian Delph, Djibril Sidibe, Alex Iwobi and Moise Kean all made their first starts at Sincil Bank.

Alex Iwobi repaid the faith of coach when he headed Everton in front late after conceding the first goal of the game.

Lincoln took the lead after just 21 seconds, before the Toffees fought back to lead thanks to a stunning free-kick from Lucas Digne and a Gylfi Sigurdsson penalty.

Bruno Andrade then thundered in a superb leveller for Lincoln, but Iwobi netted late on to put the Toffees back in front,  before Brazilian attacker Richarlison made it 4-2 and put the game to bed .

Everton will now turn their attention to the premier league clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday, before traveling to Shelffied Wednesday for the third round fixture of the Carabao Cup.
