Junior Ajayi was part of history this weekend when Al-Ahly smashed their CAF Champions League preliminary round opponent, Atlabara FC 9-0 in the second-leg tie at the Cairo International Stadium.
Ajayi was named as a substitute in the fixture, but the Eagles had very little need for the Nigeria as they ran riot in the first 45 minutes with a 4-0 lead.
A great night it turned out to be for Hussein El-Shahat, who scored a hat-trick and provided assists in his side’s win.
Al Ahly progressed to the first round qualifiers with a 13-0 aggregate win and did so in style.
FT: Al Ahly record their biggest ever African victory with a 9-0 victory against Atlabara to secure their spot in the round of 32.
