Mikel Obi and Anthony Nwakaeme joined their Trabzonspor teammates in a special “football dance” following the side’s 2-1 win over Sparta Prague in the Europa League on Thursday.
Trabzonspor progressed to the play-off round of the competition with a 4-3 aggregate win, and the players celebrated by entertaining their fans with a traditional Turkish dance.
Initially, Mikel had been reluctant to join in the gyration; when edged on by his Nigerian compatriot, but the two later let their hair down and flowed with the crowd – right in the center circle.

The former Super Eagles captain had come off the bench in the 2-1 win inside the Medical Park Stadium, while Nwakaeme started and played the duration – he even missed a penalty.
With the aggregate scoreline tied at 3-3, the Nigerian had the chance to fire his side into the lead from the spot, but he missed.
The Nigerian wouldn’t have to rue the miss for long though as Serbian Filip Novak turned up with the winner inside eight minutes of additional time, to save Nwakaeme’s blushes.
Karadeniz Fırtınası will next face Greek side AEK Athens over two-legs for a place in the group stage of the competition.
