Kenneth Omeruo is delighted to secure a permanent move to La Liga side Leganes after ending his association Premier League club Chelsea.
The Nigeria international signed for Chelsea back in 2012, but failed to make any first-team appearance for the London based club and spent most of his time with the club on loan.
Omeruo was loaned to ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasımpasa, Alanyaspor, before joining Leganes, where he signed a permanent deal.
Omeruo had previously stars during his six months stay, helping Mauricio Pellegrino’s men to keep 11 clean sheets in 31 appearances across all competitions, as they survived relegation.
After joining the Spanish outfit for a fee believed to be in the région of £4.6 million, The 25-year-old Omeruo, took to his social media handle to express his happiness over the move.
“I am so happy to be joining a team that helped me grow so much last season,” he posted on Instagram.
“I can’t wait to start and help this team achieve greatness,” he concluded.
Omeruo will hope to keep his place in Leganes team when they take on Osasuna in their opening league game of the season on Saturday.
