Club Brugge are 90 minutes away from reaching the play-off rounds of the UEFA Champions League following their 1-0 win in the first-leg of the third round qualifying match against Dynamo Kyiv.
The Nigerian duo of David Okereke and Dennis Emmanuel started for Blauw-Zwart at the Jan Breydel Stadium in Bruges on Tuesday.
Both fired blank; Okereke was on a scoring streak of 4 goals in his last three games for Club Brugge.
Also, making his Champions League on the night, South Africa’s Percy Tau was handed 90 minutes by Philippe Clement.
Clement unleashed a front three of African players with Okereke spearheading the attack, flanked by Tau and Dennis – new signing Simon Mignolet also started.

But it wasn’t a great night for Dennis who picked up a first-half yellow card for elbowing an opponent. He would end up frustrated as he was substituted just past the hour mark.
The sides will return on August 13, when Dynamo Kyiv play host to the Belgian side at the NSK Olimpijs’kyj.
Last season, Club Brugge finished third in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League; qualifying for the competition as Champions of the Jupiler League.
